Salah seorang dari situs CellPhone Signal telah mendapati bocoran foto dari ponsel T-Mobile HTC G2. INi merupakan ponsel yang akan hadir di jaringan T-Mobile.
Ponsel ini merupakan ponsel pertama yang dibundling oleh T-Mobile dengan memiliki fitur HSPA+, hadir dengan tombol sliding QWERTY keyboard penuh dan sistem operasi Android Froyo.
Hal itu terlihat dari bocoran foto yang sedang menampilkan tampilan layar Android dengan user interface Froyo, selain itu ponsel ini juga akan memiliki tampilan user interface khas HTC yakni Sense UI.
Menurut rumor yang beredar, ponsel HTC G2 ini memiliki spesifikasi sebagai berikut : Android OS degan HTC Sense UI, layar sentuh OLED berukuran 3,7 inci, prosesor Snapdragon 1GHz, Slide out full QWERTY keyboard, kamera 5 megapixel, aGPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, dan optical trackpad.

Jakarta - Menteri Komunikasi dan Informatika Tifatul Sembiring mengungkapkan belum lama ini
Tim Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK) sempat bertandang ke Waterloo, Kanada, markas besar Research in Motion (RIM), prinsipal produk layanan BlackBerry.
“Wakil Ketua KPK Chandra Hamzah beserta timnya beberapa waktu lalu sempat bilang ke
kami baru saja menyambangi kota Waterloo, kota di Kanada yang hidupnya sangat tergantung RIM,” kata Tifatul dalam jumpa pers, di Gedung Kementerian Kominfo, Jakarta, Kamis (2/9/2010).
Menteri mengaku tak tahu apakah tim KPK berhasil menemui perwakilan RIM atau tidak. Namun Tifatul mengindikasikan, kedatangan KPK ke Kanada masih ada hubungannya dengan masalah penyadapan data BlackBerry.
“KPK punya kepentingan untuk masalah penyidikan data. Kami bersama KPK akan
membentuk tim khusus. Belajar dari India, di sana terorisnya tidak terlacak karena
menggunakan BlackBerry,” tandas menteri. ( rou / fw )

Jakarta – Research In Motion (RIM) mulai ‘pemanasan’ untuk menghadirkan BlackBerry Torch secara resmi di Indonesia. Kalau beli yang resmi, RIM menjanjikan garansi 24 bulan.
Perusahaan asal Kanada itu memperkenalkan BlackBerry Torch pada awal Agustus 2010. Perangkat ini memiliki layar sentuh 3.2″ dan sebuah keyboard Qwerty geser di baliknya.
Di Indonesia, Torch memang belum hadir secara resmi. Namun beberapa pedagang, baik online maupun di pusat-pusat perdagangan, sudah mulai menjajakannya pada kisaran Rp 7-8 juta.
Keterangan tertulis RIM, yang diterima detikINET, Kamis (2/9/2010), menjanjikan Torch akan segera masuk secara resmi. Dalam waktu dekat, kata RIM, akan diumumkan cara pre-registrasi pembeliannya.
Belum ada rincian kapan persisnya Torch akan hadir, dan berapa harga resmi perangkat itu, di Indonesia . Desas-desus yang beredar, BlackBerry Torch akan muncul di Tanah Air pada akhir September 2010.

Jakarta – Aplikasi chattingseperti Yahoo Mesengger (YM) dan BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) mendominasi 90% penggunaan trafik data operator XL Axiata saat menyediakan akses layanan BlackBerry untuk pelanggannya.
Dari total 35,2 juta pelanggan selulernya saat ini, XL mencatat ada 18 juta yang aktif menggunakan akses data. Mayoritas masih dari ponsel Nokia sebanyak 70%. Sisanya dari BlackBerry 500 ribu, iPhone 20 ribu, dan sisanya dari ponsel-ponsel China.
“Sebelumnya total pelanggan data kami cuma 13,8 juta, kini naik jadi 18 juta. Dengan demikian, konsumsi data pun meningkat pesat,” kata Oni P Marbun, Senior Manager Mobile Data Services XL di Rumah Marroco, Jakarta, usai peluncuran BlackBerry Pearl 3G.
“Misalnya, untuk tiap pelanggan Blackberry, dari 140 MB per bulan kini jadi 170 MB. Itu artinya, setiap pelanggan BlackBerry rata-rata mengonsumsi bandwidth 4 MB per hari, dimana 90% trafik masih untuk chatting lewat BBM dan YM. Sementara lainnya untuk browsing internet,” imbuh Asni Juanita, VP Mobile Data Services XL.
Peningkatan trafik, menurut Dolly Surya Wisaka, Manajer Internet & Data Services XL, juga mulai didominasi oleh penggunaan aplikasi yang terus diperbaharui, seperti Facebook, Twitter, hingga BlackBerry Messenger sendiri.
“Itu sebabnya kami meningkatkan kapasitas bandwidth BlackBerry dari 400 Mbps jadi 800 Mbps lewat dual carrier partner langsung ke RIM (Research in Motion). Peningkatan akan terus kami lakukan demi menjamin kualitas layanan dan kenyamanan seluruh pelanggan XL BlackBerry,” jelasnya.
Selain kapasitas bandwidth ke server RIM di Kanada, XL juga memiliki infrastruktur last mile dengan jumlah BTS (Base Transceiver Station) mencapai lebih dari 20.888 unit (2G/3G), yang diklaim menjangkau 90% populasi Indonesia dari Sabang sampai Merauke. ( rou / ash )

Motorola telah secara resmi mengumumkan kehadiran dari ponsel penerus dari Milestone yag dijuluki Motorola Milestone 2.
Ponsel ini sekilas memiliki bentuk yang mirip dengan ponsel Milestone versi pendahulunya namun dengan disain dan tombol yang telah diperbaiki sehingga lebih nyaman untuk digunakan.
Ada beberapa bagian sudah menarik dari ponsel Milestones 2 – yakni fitur layar sentuh berukuran 3,7-inci dengan 854 x 480, sistem operasi Android 2.2, kamera 5-megapiksel, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, sebuah prosesor 1GHz dan mampu mengakses jaringan WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth dan microSD kartu slot, 3.5mm headphone socket, 8GB penyimpanan terpadu dan kartu memori 8GB.

Autodesk has announced AutoCAD 2011 for Mac. This new version of AutoCAD, software for professional design and engineering that previously ran only on the Windows platform, now runs natively on Mac OS X. Autodesk also announced that the new Mac version of AutoCAD would be accompanied by the AutoCAD WS mobile application, a new app for iPad, iPhone, and the iPod touch that will let users edit and share their AutoCAD designs remotely.
“The release of AutoCAD for Mac marks the return of professional design and engineering software to the Mac platform and an important convergence of power and design,” said Amar Hanspal, senior vice president, Autodesk Platform Solutions and Emerging Business. “Over 5000 customers have helped develop this product through our beta program and they are delighted to have the choice of a native Mac version of AutoCAD.”
Apple is happy, too. “Apple is thrilled that Autodesk is bringing AutoCAD back to the Mac and we think it’s the perfect combination for millions of design and engineering professionals,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “The AutoCAD WS app is a bold new idea, a mobile version of industry-leading design software for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, the world’s most innovative mobile devices.”
AutoCAD for Mac
AutoCAD for Mac—back on the platform after a 16-year absence—sports an intuitive, Mac-like interface that includes graphical browsing of design files with Cover Flow, use of Multi-Touch gestures on Mac notebooks, and use of the Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad for pan and zoom.
AutoCAD for Mac also offers users easy, cross-platform collaboration with suppliers, customers, clients, and partners because of its support for the DWG file format. Files created in previous versions of AutoCAD will open seamlessly in AutoCAD for Mac, the company says. An extensive API (application programming interface) and flexible customization options facilitate customized workflows, simple application development and adaption, custom settings configurations and screen real estate options to complement individual workflows and projects.
Autodesk also announced the AutoCAD WS mobile application, a new free app that will be available from Apple’s App Store. The AutoCAD WS mobile application will let AutoCAD users edit and share AutoCAD files on the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch for real-time collaboration while on the go.
“The combination of this new version of AutoCAD and the extension of AutoCAD to iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch is a big step in Autodesk’s efforts to accelerate design and make design more accessible for an ever-greater number of people so they can shape the world around them,” Hanspal said.
AutoCAD for Mac will also be offered free to students and teachers through the Autodesk Education Community.
Availability
AutoCAD for Mac and the AutoCAD WS mobile application will be available in North America and Europe sometime between August and October. Users can pre-order the app starting Wednesday, September 1. AutoCAD 2011 for Mac works on Intel machines running OS X 10.5 or OS X 10.6.
